Turning 33 and Breaking Up With Myself
Tuesday Sep 07, 2021
Tuesday Sep 07, 2021
The Turning 30 Podcast is back with a brand new season!
We are kicking off with the first episode of a two-part series, where I am opening up and sharing my experience of going through huge life changes at the age of 33.
In June 2020 my world fell apart. I went through a traumatising and unexpected break up of a 4 year relationship and found myself single for the first-time a week before my 33rd birthday. In the same week I lost my full-time position in my job and the comfort of a secure salary.
In this first episode I am sharing my story about breaking up with my partner, which ultimately led to me ‘breaking up with myself’ and the future I had planned. In my thirty-third year I set out to create a new chapter which has been the best one yet, and now I am giving you a behind the scenes insight into my journey and the lessons I have learnt.
This episode is for you if you have hesitation about making big life changes in your thirties and if you are being called to build your next chapter. If you have ever struggled with fears of being alone or different to others in the path that you choose, you are going to resonate a lot with my story.

Turning 30 and what I have learnt from 500 hours of Turning 30 Sessions
Thursday Jun 24, 2021
Thursday Jun 24, 2021
As well as being a coach, I sometimes feel as though I am running a social experiment. I get front row seats to my client’s lives, their thoughts, their emotions and their behaviour. Day in, day out, we talk about all of the topics that are relevant to our age group. I get the privilege of seeing the inner workings of people’s minds and understanding how the affects their actions. I hear stories unfolding and get to be a witness to the process that my clients go through when dealing with big life changes, from career shifts, to break-ups and dating adventures, friendships and more. I recently realised that in the past twelve months I have coached my clients for over 500 hours, and that’s not even including the 100 hours of initial consultation calls I have held for those that were interested in signing up to be coached. I think it’s safe to say I’m an expert in all things Turning 30!
I have learnt SO much from my clients about turning 30 and growing up and in this special episode I share the findings of my social experiment of 500 hours of conversations with all of you, so you can also get a true insight into turning 30 and realize that you are not alone. This episode is dedicated to my amazing clients!

Turning 30 and Egg-freezing Ft. Nikki Clare
Wednesday Jun 09, 2021
Wednesday Jun 09, 2021
Things don’t always turn out exactly the way we expect, but that doesn’t mean we can’t take control and take our future into our own hands. In this week’s podcast episode my inspiring client Nikki openly and authentically shares her story of undergoing three rounds of egg-freezing in the past 18-months. As well as telling her personal story of her decision to freeze her eggs and giving inside details of the process itself, we touch upon many fertility related topics. As well as talking about the factors to consider whether this is the right decision for you, we also discuss fertility in your thirties, the ’35 cliff’ myth, egg-freezing as an ‘insurance policy’ and how this decision can affect your mindset in relation to dating and romantic relationships. If you know that you want to have children, or even if you’re not quite sure but you are curious about your options- this informative episode is for you.

Turning 30 and Setting Boundaries Part 1
Tuesday May 11, 2021
Tuesday May 11, 2021
In today’s solo podcast episode I am diving into a topic that has quickly become one of my favourite and most common topics to coach on: boundaries. This is the first in a two part series on boundaries, in which I teach the foundational concepts to help you live a life in alignment with who you really are and what you want to achieve.
In this first episode I explain what boundaries are, give examples of the different types of boundaries that you can set, and an explanation as to why setting boundaries is so important and powerful.
You will resonate with this episode and the concepts in it if you identify yourself as ‘people-pleaser’, someone who struggles to put their own needs before others, is highly sensitive to other people’s emotional states, often reflects on what other people will think before taking action, struggle with work-life boundaries, or if you find it difficult to commit to doing things for yourself on a regular basis. If any of these sound familiar, learning about boundaries is going to be a game-changer for you.
This is one of the main topics I am teaching in my upcoming group course ‘The Next Chapter’. To be the first to get details of the course and special offers, click on the link below.

Turning 30 and What to Do When You Don't Like Your Job Ft. Karina Marriott
Wednesday Apr 21, 2021
Wednesday Apr 21, 2021
I’ve invited my good friend Karina, known as @styleidealist, back onto the podcast this week to talk about Turning 30 and 'Not Liking Your Job’. Karina and I have such a shared passion for helping others to overcome struggles in the workplace and we felt compelled to publish a no holds barred conversation about what it is really like when you don’t see a future in your job.
After our own personal experiences of being stuck in jobs that weren’t for the long-term, we decided to talk openly about our trials and tribulations and our eventual path to finding careers that fit. The result: an insightful and slightly ranty (from my side) podcast episode that is a must-listen if you and your job haven’t been getting along.
As well as revealing details of our string of non-starter jobs, discussing workplace red-flags and some of our lowest moments, we also give practical tips of what to do if this is something you are currently going through.

Turning 30 and being a F*ck Up feat Alexandra Potter
Friday Apr 02, 2021
Friday Apr 02, 2021
When our big birthdays loom, whether it be 30, 40, 50 or beyond- we often see this as a signpost to check in with ourselves and evaluate where we are in life. A lot of us come to the conclusion that we aren’t doing life 'right', and that we have ‘f*cked up’ when our lives don’t look like we expected. This is the topic that bestselling author Alexandra Potter writes about in her latest book ‘Confessions of a forty-something f*ck up’ and I invited her onto the podcast to talk all about it. As well as diving into the characters and topics in her book, Alexandra openly shares her personal story of being published as an author for the first time the week before her 30th birthday, and her experience of being a woman in a world where ageing is seen as something negative instead of something to embrace.
We talk about societal pressures, friendships, loneliness, vulnerability and why we should embrace ageing and everything it has to offer. This conversation is one of the most uplifting and inspiring conversations I have ever had about growing older. If you ever have a sense of ‘time running out’, and want some reassurance that you aren’t ‘doing life wrong- this episode is for you.

Turning 30 and Self-Care
Sunday Mar 21, 2021
Sunday Mar 21, 2021
People talk about ‘self-care’ all the time- but what does it REALLY mean to take care of yourself? And why is it so important?
I’ve invited my friend, past client and coaching colleague Karli Van Heel onto the Podcast to talk all about Self-care. Karli run’s Studio Self, a well-being based community dedicated to helping people become a better version of themselves. The truth is, self-care isn’t really about how often you have a hot bubble bath and treating yourself to a massage. It’s actually about how in tune you are with your own needs, putting yourself first even when other things are demanding your attention, and your ability to love and trust yourself.
Do you feel like you are constantly rushing around in overwhelm and never get time for yourself?
Do you feel like you are balancing a million things and are always expected to be switched ‘on’.
Do you want practical tips on how to implement a self-care regime that works for you? If yes, then this episode is for you!
