Today we’re covering something that is central to my mission as a life coach focusing on helping individuals feel better about their age: – age anxiety. This is a topic that so many of us experience as we transition from our twenties into our thirties and we experience the reality of ‘growing older, entering a new phase of life and really facing the societal pressures of becoming an adult and everything that comes along with that.
For some of us this feeling is sudden and happens at the turn of a big birthday or as our birthday approaches, yet for many of us this is a background anxiety that gets heightened.
In this solo episode I am sharing my thoughts on the reason we experience anxiety at this age, how I personally experienced aging anxiety over the years, and how we can cope with this and take control of our anxiety and even use it to our advantage to make the most of our thirties.
Topics that I cover include the ‘instruction manual’ we hold ourselves accountable to in our thirties, the existential fears that can crop up as we age and see our parents growing older and experiencing loss, the part that society and popular culture plays in convincing women of their impending value drop due to growing older and more.

Turning 30 and How to Have Less Painful Periods Ft Dinara Mukh
Tuesday Nov 07, 2023
Tuesday Nov 07, 2023
Three years of the turning 30 podcast which is listened to by a predominantly female audience, and only now are we talking about periods- so the question is, why are we so shy to speak about it? Why is this a topic that is so crucial to our everyday lives, but we so often neglect educating ourselves around it.
In this episode, period and hormone expert Dinara Mukh joins me to talk about why this topic is so taboo, and also so important.
Dinara is a period and hormone expert, who discusses the importance of understanding and managing our menstrual cycle and hormonal balance in a holistic manner. We talk about how hormonal fluctuations through the menstrual cycle can impact a woman's moods and energy levels, and how understanding this can allow women to plan their schedules more effectively.
Most importantly, we dive into why your periods do not need to be painful and to affect your life, and Dinara shares with us how you can minimize your period pain and take control of your cycle.
We also cover misconceptions about menstrual pain, the contraceptive pill, the impact of our diet and lifestyle on our cycles, and a general step-by-step explanation of the menstrual cycle.

Turning 30 and Getting a Divorce Ft. Jigna Patel
Tuesday Oct 31, 2023
Tuesday Oct 31, 2023
Our life path is often set out for us before we even decide what we truly want for ourselves. And a lot of the time, that looks like finding the right person, settling down, and getting married. But what happens when you think you have gone down the right path, only to realize in your twenties that it’s actually not the right path for you.
I'm so excited to kick off our first guest episode of the new season with a guest who really embodies what it means to take hold of your thirties when things don’t go as planned. Jigna Patel had a life in her twenties, especially her early twenties, that was what she thought she wanted and was expected of her.
At the age of 27 Jigna made a big life decision to separate from her then husband, and set off on a new and unexpected path. Now in her mid thirties she is the embodiment of the Turning 30 mission: living her own path regardless of the timelines. and speaking out on her platform all about what it's like to go through a divorce in your twenties and be single in your thirties.
A few years ago when she realized that taboo topics such as divorce and breaking up earlier in life weren't really spoken about on the internet, she made a series of videos and decided to start sharing on her platform.
This podcast episode is full of such pearls of wisdom about going through a breakup and what you can do to get to the other side and to live a life in your thirties that you absolutely love and deserve.

Turning 30 and the Beauty of a Fresh Start
Tuesday Oct 24, 2023
Tuesday Oct 24, 2023
I LOVE the concept that on any given day we can choose to have a fresh start. I also love the idea that our big birthdays (thirty and beyond) can be a signpost for us to create a new future and turn a new page, and this is exactly what this episode is all about: the beauty of a fresh start.
In the first solo episode of the brand new season of the podcast, I am diving deep into the theme of fresh starts: why we need them, how to know when a fresh start is just around the corner, and how to navigate building your next chapter in your thirties.
Often we are forced into a fresh start for unexpected reasons, a break-up, being fired, health reasons, but there are also many times when we are being called to start again but we just ignore the signs.
In this episode I talk about the three types of fresh starts that can redefine your 30s and empower you to create the life you desire.
I also dive into what resistance we may encounter, how the fear of change can hold us back, and address the common obstacles that might prevent you from taking that leap towards a fresh start and provide insights on how to overcome them.
We also delve into the distinction between your core values and the expectations society places on you, helping you gain clarity on what truly matters to you.
If you're seeking a fresh start that aligns with who you are, join us for this episode of the Turning 30 Podcast. It's time to honor yourself, embrace change, and embark on a new journey that celebrates your unique path in your 30s !
I am also excited to announce updates about the Turning 30 Podcast, including a brand new YouTube channel, that I would love for you to subscribe to to receive exclusive videos including monthly YouTube Q&As that won’t be available on the podcast. Go and check T30 out on IG and help us grow our community!

Turning 30 and becoming a Solo Mother by Choice Ft. Ebony Hibbert
Wednesday Aug 02, 2023
Wednesday Aug 02, 2023
In this week’s guest episode I sit down with Ebony Hibbert, Single Mother By Choice and mindset coach who empowers women in their 30's and 40's to reclaim control over their fertility journey, regardless of whether they have a partner or not.
During our insightful conversation, Ebony shares with us her journey to becoming a solo mother and all of the twists and turns it took for her to reach the decision as she turned 40.
However this conversation is about so much more than becoming a mother, as we dive into many topics related to dating and break ups in your thirties and the search to find a partner to have a child with, the power of mindset and subconscious beliefs affecting the result that you are trying to achieve (whether that’s trying to conceive or finding a partner) and the relief of not trying to follow traditional timelines and owning and embracing your own path.
It is such an empowering episode for any woman who feels that her timelines aren’t as she expected them to be in her thirties and fourties.
Ebony candidly shares her own experiences and the stories of her clients who have embraced this path. If you're a woman in your 30's or 40's looking to redefine your journey, embark on solo motherhood, or explore options for your fertility, this episode is a must-listen. Themes: dating, single life, dating apps, relationships, beliefs, mindset, self-love, confidence.
On this week’s podcast episode I have invited back Caitlin Smith, better known as The Compatibility Coach, for an honest girl talk all about dating in your thirties.
Let’s be real, dating can be tough and the online dating space today can cause many people to decide to throw the towel in altogether and to focus on other areas of life.
But what does that mean for those who still want to meet somebody? Keep living your life and hope for the best?
In this episode we dive into topics surrounding the realities of dating, and why so many of us experience dating burnout and feel that we are ‘interviewing’ for jobs roles. Caitlin shares her experience of never experiencing a relationship until her late twenties, and I share my story of being on and off single and what it was like re-entering the dating world again at age 33.
We also discuss why the key to getting your sparkle back may be to take a step back and delete the apps, how our mindsets are key in transforming our dating lives, the part luck plays in meeting someone, how to not get obsessed with dating, the key differences between men and women in the dating world and how to be the one that is picking instead of waiting to be picked.
If you ever feel exhausted from dating- or tend to avoid it altogether, this episode is for you!
