We discuss that the importance of setting goals is so much more than just ‘to motivate yourself’, how the conscious mind needs the specifics and a plan that even a 5 year old could follow and how asking yourself big questions is so crucial to understanding the big answers. Turning 30 and Breaking-up with Dorothy AB Johnson
Thursday Sep 24, 2020
Thursday Sep 24, 2020
In this week’s special episode, we've had a format switch-up and I have invited my amazing friend Dorothy Johnson to interview ME about my recent break-up.
Three months ago, a week before my 33rd birthday, my long-term relationship of four years ended. My life turned upside down and I was thrown into the unknown- single life in my thirties.
In a time of complete stress and uncertainty, Dorothy’s ‘How to get over your Ex’ podcast was a true saviour. As a life coach specializing in helping individuals through breakups, she guides listeners that getting over your ex doesn’t just take time. What it actually takes is a mindset shift: a decision to get over them and taking responsibility for yourself.
In this episode Dorothy shares her work with us, her own breakup story that led her to this important mission, and her experience of working with thirty-something’s going through a breakup.
We then flip the conversation around and she interviews me about my experience and I share why I believe that my age affected how my relationship unfolded. In addition, I also give some practical advice to help anyone going through a breakup and I’m getting vulnerable and real about breaking up in your thirties.

My guest this week is the wonderful Sue Azari who has joined me to discuss the huge changes she made when she turned 30. These changes all started with a mindset shift, and by learning the coaching model and doing the work set in the program together, Sue transformed her life and saw amazing results within a very short space of time. In this episode, Sue bravely shares with the listeners the goals she set for herself in the program, and how she went from feeling unfulfilled, unconfident and struggling with imposter syndrome, to now being able to present on panels in front of hundreds of people.
